Book an appointment with Citizens Advice Scotland

About the advice appointment 

A non-profit organisation called Citizens Advice Scotland provides the appointment service. Your appointment will be with a trained adviser. 

They can give advice on:

• Immigration and visas 
• Housing 
• Social security payments (also known as benefits) 
• Employment 
• Education and childcare 
• Money and debt 
• National insurance and tax 
• Healthcare 
• Public services 

You can book an appointment: 

• From 9am to 8pm, Monday to Friday 
• From 10am to 4pm on Saturday 

You can choose to have the appointment by video or phone call. It will last around one hour. 

You’ll get an email after Citizens Advice Scotland confirm your appointment. It will explain what will happen at the appointment. 

Check if you can book an advice appointment

You can book an advice appointment with Citizens Advice Scotland if you: 

• Have lived in Scotland for less than two years 
• Live in Scotland and have limited leave to enter or remain in the UK 
• Have a close family member who lives in Scotland and want to join them 
• Have a job offer in Scotland and want to move here
